Break Through to Break Through

Theme Scripture

Mark 2:4: “And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. tells us about the four men who carried a paralytic to Jesus. The Bible says, “When they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was; so when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.”

Exposition

Many times, we pray and cry for breakthroughs in our businesses, families, health, or ministries. But sometimes, before God releases the breakthrough, we must first break through barriers ourselves.

We must break through:

•  the laziness in our spiritual lives

•  the excuses that keep us from prayer and purpose

•  the distractions that pull us away from God’s presence

The truth is, the first breaking often has to come from us. We must tear through the comfort zone, the routine, and the complacency to get to Jesus. And when we break through to Him, He releases the breakthrough for us.

So today, do not just pray for a breakthrough. Be the one who breaks through.

Break through in your worship.

Break through in your prayer.

Break through in your discipline.

Break through in your faith.

Because sometimes, the situation is not there to crush you. It is calling you into a deeper intimacy and pursuit of God.

Break through to break through!

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

In the name of Jesus, I thank You for Your Word.

Give me the strength to break through every limitation in my life.

Help me to rise above laziness, distractions, and every excuse that keeps me from seeking You.

Stir in me a deeper hunger for Your presence and a greater desire for discipline and consistency.

Lord, as I press into You, help me to break through every barrier that stands between me and my next level.

In Jesus’ name, Amen
